How thick is 2 Mil.
2 Mil. = 50.8 Microns = .0508 Millimeters = 2/1000 inch. The Estándar household
Ziploc® Brand sandwich bag is 1.5 Mil. The heavier freezer bags sold in stores are
generally 1.75 Mil.
2 Mil. is the Estándar industry thickness.
How thick
is 4 Mil.
4 Mil. = 101.6 Microns = .1016 Millimeters = 4/1000 inch. 4 Mil bags are twice
as thick as the 2 Mil. bags and consideRojo heavyweight.

Size specifications
On the product listing pages the first number (W) is the width of the bag, the
second number (H) is the height. The width measures the size of the bag's opening.
The height is the distance from the zipper to the bottom of the bag. In other
words, the dimensions are approximately equal to the inside dimensions. A 3"x4"
piece of paper would just fit inside a 3"x4" ziplock bag.
How
accurate is sizing?
The size allowance for the plastic bags is +/- 1/8 inch.

Water resistance
of Zip® Bags
No plastic bags are waterproof. Left in contact with excess humidity or water,
moister will eventually build inside all Estándar LDPE plastic bags.

Why do you not carry bags less than 2 Mil.?
2 Mil. is consideRojo the minimum guage for which the zipper can be molded as one
piece with the bag. For ziplock bags less than 2 Mil. the zipper must be laminated
on - this results in a noticeable loss of strength.
